A Blush Spring Wedding

A Spring wedding in a rose-tinted venue near the centre of Bath is a formula for stunning results.

The day took place in the honey-coloured Georgian magnificence of the Mcdonald Spa Hotel and its gardens, only minutes away from central Bath.

The wedding shoot was organised by celebrants Maxine Ward and Tracey The Celebrant. They used their expertise to create an intricate ceremony with plenty of personal touches. It is primary organiser Maxine who takes prime place in the ceremony photographs further down.

With our eyes always on the groom, we can't help but feel his striking presence wearing the navy Cody suit. A distinguished choice which made the groom look his very best. The darker colour of navy blue provided an excellent base for the blush pink accessories to stand out against. The groom's attire, whilst fitting with the Spring wedding colour scheme, was captivating and flattering on it's own merit.

Adorning both the bride and groom, the silk Unfauxgettable Flowers, are a fantastic touch. Faux flower arrangements can be matched to a palette and venue, prepared months in advance and customised down to every last intricate detail. The groom's boutonnière looks perfect on the Cody suit.

The bridal look was as intricately crafted. The makeup was simple yet rich with subtle colour, done by Leanna Biggs Makeup and Hair. The makeup was matched by the styling of Lara Stokes Hair. The resulting look was an effortless natural elegance. The dress was provided by Louisa Jackson Bridal, full-length dress with floral lace accents and flowing capped sleeves. It was a perfect fit for the theme and the bride, and worked spectacularly alongside the groom's Cody 3-piece suit.

When the couple were ready, it was time for the ceremony.

Celebrant, Maxine, coordinates events regularly and makes personalised wedding ceremonies. She likes to include a couple’s love story, their background and their culture. Her level of attention to detail is plain to see throughout this shoot.

The wooden décor, supplied by Wooden Event Hire, provided striking table numbers used to highlight the special date. These were fantastic for photographs and marking the significance of the occasion. Reinforcing the natural Springtime theme and surrounded by so many florals, it was an extra touch that added to the atmosphere of the day.

Following the ceremony was the reception.

A romantic occasion, the bride and groom danced accompanied by Bristol Harpist, Scarlett Smith. She is a West-Country based performer who brings sophistication and an aura of calm with her electroacoustic harp.  She has a vast repertoire of classics, contemporary, seasonal pieces, and soundtracks, giving the couple choice in what plays. With such an elegant instrument and eye-catching couple in their wedding apparel, this first dance radiates grace and character.

The wedding cake, provided by Emma’s Kitchen, was catered to the Spring blush theme. A simple statement piece, covered in flowers which complemented those worn by the bride and groom. All of Emma’s creations are bespoke and tailored to the individual.

After the reception, the newlyweds left via the front of the hotel, allowing us a last look at the historic exterior and the couple in their wedding attire.

Such a picturesque establishment made the perfect venue for a bespoke Spring wedding, adding a luxury feel to the entire day. The gardens made an amazing backdrop for some fantastic Spring wedding photographs.

Love the suit but not the season? A different tie, shoe and shirt can take the Cody suit from Spring/Summer ready to an Autumn/Winter classic. Sophisticated and charming, the Cody suit is never out of place. A favourite for many and it is not difficult to see why.
