The market winds itself around the historic city, surrounding Bath Abbey, the Pump Rooms, and The Roman Baths. You can explore the whole of the beautiful city while enjoying the festivities. There are more than 170 wooden cabins to browse this year, each hosting a different small business with an eclectic mix of local and artisan goods available. There is also a a selection of micro-businesses selling out of smaller Christmas carts for shorter period of time, meaning you get to see even more independent, small local sellers with unique goods up for grabs. The market is also dedicated to sustainability – taking further steps each year to reduce emissions and eliminate single-use plastics.

Bristol’s market takes full Germanic inspiration. European and local sellers in fifty cabins line the streets of the city centre. There is a bustling seasonal feel, you can enjoy a hot chocolate or a mulled drink or you can settle yourself into the Jäger Barn Bar. With heated seating and covering, enjoy live music performances at the weekends or simply catch up with friends in a fantastic atmosphere. The Bristol Christmas market dates are Friday the 1st of November to Monday the 23rd of December.

There is much more available during a Christmas visit to Bath than just the market. There is a world of different Bath Christmas days out just waiting to get you into the Christmas spirit. Whether you want to spend time with your partner, friends, family, children, or just by yourself. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Running from Friday the 15th of November to Sunday the 5th of January, Bath On Ice is making its yearly appearance once more. Located in Royal Victoria Park, Bath On Ice offers ice skating all day long and into the night. The rink is a mini-winter wonderland with Christmas music and atmosphere. Spend an hour on the rink then drink in a cozy alpine bar or pop to next door’s Glow Golf. Glow Golf is mini-golf surrounded by fairy lights using glow in the dark balls in the evening, creating stunning visuals and a unique experience of the game. These experiences are unique to Bath’s Christmas season; they are just waiting to be enjoyed thoroughly.
Christmas pantomime at the Theatre Royal Bath never lets us down. This year’s pantomime, Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, runs from the 12th of December to the 12th of January. This fantastic family pantomime promises a world of laughs. It is packed with celebrity stars from a variety of places. Visit the royal theatre and take in the gorgeous sites of the Grade II listed Georgian building. Expect laughter, booing, cheering, and an overall charming experience with plenty of heartfelt moments! Book your tickets early - this show is sure to be a sell out!
Winter walks are something special. The crisp air, bare trees, mist and, dare we hope, snow are all things that spell winter. Whilst there are plenty of winter walks that Bath Christmas 2024 has to offer you, one historic one is particularly special. On weekends only from the 30th of November to the 5th of January, there is the Christmas Advent Trail at Prior Park. Pick up a trail sheet and explore the depths of the authentically regency gardens. The gorgeous scenery is straight out of a regency book and full of tranquility. The dams and Palladian bridge, one of only four left in the world, giving this trail a unique feature.
